The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
